My people from Atlanta! Tell me this???

I am a Chicago native looking to move to Atlanta in the spring of 2009. I started the search for the network of sites to live and the many places look good, but what are the parts of the city should stay away from as a single woman who goes to live alone??? No quiero estar concerned about the safety or are afraid to come visit when people invite me over. What are the good and bad parts of the Atlanta area? I want to be in the vicinity near College Park, but not necessarily live there, while not objecting to it. I was thinking maybe Decatur. They said Buckhead and Punta del Este was cool too. ???? From Chicago, most places even in downtown Atlanta seems quite affordable in comparison. That said, what does the labor market and find the real estate market like? Is it a buyers' market? Despite that rent for a year or two, I want to know if there is a promising future in ATL. Ignorance is everywhere, but racism is a big problem? What can you say now?

Wow, that's a difficult question. You want be close to College Park and want a safe area. Buckhead has some areas very well, but not that close to College Park. I would say, south on 85. The further you go, obtained in less populated profile area that will be safer. Or you can enter in Decatur. Some parts of Decatur are welcome. If I were you, I'd like to rent an apartment for 6 months until you get used to the area. Do not buy yet. The market is down, but I would not call it a buyer's market ,…. yet. Besides, you head north to enter the best areas, such as Vinings, Alpharetta, North Gwinnett. But then you have to deal with serious traffic issues. Check out Craigslist, and Rentlist.net rent.
